Greetings!
I'm a Baptist minister, and proud to be one. I've spent several years in ministry and I've had lots of great experiences, but there are some things that bother me about ministry, congregations, pastors, etc. I'd like to share my feelings, but with whom can I be completely honest? Would my congregation truly understand if I admitted that sometimes I don't want to be around any of them? Would my fellow pastor friends be judgmental or empathetic if they knew that I thought a lot of the stuff we do in church is pointless?
Anyway, I'm using this blog as an avenue to post some gut-level honest thoughts about ministry and all the things that go along this high calling. It won't all be gripes; there will be some humorous postings as well. Any similarities to the "Stuff Christians Like" blog will be truly coincidental. I honestly have many of the same thoughts as Jon and love his writings.
So with all this honesty, I hope you understand the reason for my anonymity. I'm sure you will. I welcome all comments and will delete only obscene ones.
